Bill overview
This bill aims to encourage municipalities in New Jersey to build more affordable housing by offering bonus credits to those that designate units specifically for teachers. It allows a municipality to receive one and a half bonus credits for each low- or moderate-income housing unit occupied or reserved for a teacher employed in a public or non-public school through grade 12. This incentive is intended to help communities meet their affordable housing obligations.
