Bill overview
This bill requires New Jersey’s school districts to create and implement policies for maintaining comfortable and appropriate temperatures in their school buildings. These policies must designate staff to monitor temperatures, establish procedures for addressing temperature issues, and comply with local building codes and state guidelines for indoor air quality. The Department of Education and Department of Health will work together to provide districts with support in developing and implementing these policies.
