Bill overview
This bill requires New Jersey Transit (NJT) to offer free Wi-Fi service on all of its passenger trains. Currently, NJT provides Wi-Fi hotspots at some train stations, and this legislation would extend that service to the trains themselves. The goal is to improve connectivity for riders traveling on NJT’s rail lines. This builds on existing efforts to expand Wi-Fi access to NJT’s bus services.
