Bill overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education to revoke the licenses of for-profit colleges that don’t meet minimum graduation rate standards. Specifically, colleges must achieve a 75% six-year graduation rate for four-year degree programs and a 75% three-year graduation rate for two-year degree programs by the sixth full academic year following the bill’s enactment. The Secretary has discretion to allow schools additional time if they are making progress toward these goals.
