Bill overview
This bill would allow the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to remove certain conservation restrictions placed on a property as a condition of receiving a permit under the Coastal Area Facility Review Act (CAFRA). The DEP would be able to do this if the property is being used to expand a school for special needs children. Additionally, the bill requires that a conservation restriction of equal or greater size be placed on a nearby property to offset the removal of the original restriction.
