Bill overview
This bill allows individuals with hearing impairments who have a driver’s license with a numerical code designating hearing impairment to obtain a vehicle identification placard. The placard will display the international symbol of the deaf and will be issued free of charge by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. It does not grant these individuals access to disabled parking spaces unless they already qualify for them.
