Overview
This bill creates a grant program within the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) to support veteran gravesite maintenance. The program will provide financial assistance to qualified nonprofit veterans’ organizations that maintain gravesites of veterans. DVA will establish guidelines for applying for and receiving grants, and will require recipients to report on how the funds are used. The program’s effectiveness will be monitored and reported to the Governor and the Legislature.
