Bill overview
This bill creates a sales tax credit for small businesses in New Jersey that collect and remit sales and use tax. Eligible businesses, defined as independently owned and operated with fewer than 20 full-time employees, can claim a credit equal to 10% of their monthly remittance or $100 per month, whichever is lower. The credit is applied when a seller files their sales tax return and makes a payment to the state.
