Overview
This bill would allow certain members of the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System (PFRS) in New Jersey to continue working until age 70, provided their municipal governing body approves their continued service. Currently, PFRS members must retire at age 65. This change would apply to members in administrative positions and requires written notification to the PFRS board of trustees before age 65.
