Overview
This bill restricts the use of artificial intelligence-generated communications in New Jersey election campaigns. It prohibits the publication or distribution of such messages within 90 days of an election, requires clear labeling of AI-generated content, and bans deceptive audio or visual media featuring opposing candidates presented in a false or defamatory manner. The Election Law Enforcement Commission will be responsible for creating and enforcing regulations related to this law.
