Overview
This bill changes the requirements for becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist in New Jersey. It reduces the required supervised experience from three years to two years. The bill also allows applicants with a master’s degree to count up to 300 hours of client contact earned during their degree program toward the experience requirement, and clarifies the requirements for associate marriage and family therapists. It also adjusts the waiting period for re-taking an exam.
