Overview
This bill establishes the Automotive Anti-Theft Systems Task Force within the Department of Law and Public Safety. The task force’s purpose is to study and recommend improvements to motor vehicle design and products aimed at preventing theft. It will consist of representatives from various automotive and insurance organizations, as well as public members with automotive manufacturing experience. The task force will ultimately submit a report to the Governor and the Legislature outlining its findings and recommendations.
