Overview
This bill requires businesses that use text-based chat to offer customers the option to receive a transcript of their conversations. Businesses must clearly inform customers about this option at the beginning of each chat interaction. If a customer requests a transcript, the business is obligated to provide it. Failure to comply with this law is considered an unlawful practice and can result in penalties.
