Overview
This bill updates New Jersey’s rules about excused absences for students in public schools. It codifies existing regulations and adds new excused absences for military service activities, college visits, vocational school visits, and labor-related open houses. Students in grades 11 and 12 can take up to three excused absences for these activities per school year, and these absences won't be counted against their perfect attendance record.
