Overview
This bill extends existing requirements in New Jersey to ensure that health benefits plans cover and pay telemedicine and telehealth services at the same rate as in-person services. Currently, the law mandates equal reimbursement for these services, but this bill extends that coverage and reimbursement parity through December 31, 2027. This ensures continued equitable access to healthcare through virtual care options. The bill was amended to extend the current pay parity provision rather than establishing a permanent one.
