Overview
This bill requires municipal water utilities and water public utilities to provide written notice to property owners, representatives, and affected residential customers within 30 days when a water meter fails to register. It prohibits these utilities from placing liens for unpaid water charges during this period unless they have first provided the required notice. Violations of the bill can result in civil penalties of at least $2,500 per violation.
