Bill overview
This bill revises the services provided by the Aging and Disability Services Division of the Department of Health and Human Services. Specifically, it clarifies the categories of individuals served by the Attorney for the Rights of Older Persons and Persons with a Physical Disability, an Intellectual Disability or a Related Condition, replacing ‘person with a related condition’ with ‘person with a developmental disability.’ It also defines ‘person with an intellectual disability’ and establishes a program to facilitate the transition of older persons and individuals with disabilities from hospitals to their residences. Finally, the bill updates the title of the Attorney to reflect these changes.
