Bill overview
This bill significantly alters the role of the State Fire Marshal and the State Forester Firewarden in Nevada. It removes the requirement for the State Forester Firewarden to cooperate with the State Fire Marshal on vegetation management, eliminates the State Fire Marshal Division entirely, and expands the scope of the Fire Marshal’s investigation authority to include injuries and financial losses exceeding $2 million. The bill also broadens the facilities subject to the Fire Marshal’s regulations to include cannabis production facilities.
