Bill overview
This bill requires the Nevada Department of Transportation to create a system for local governments to report road conditions to navigation providers. It mandates that navigation apps incorporate these reports within 48 hours, subject to certain exceptions. Failure to do so could result in a $500 daily civil penalty. The bill also establishes a process for local authorities to recommend alternative routes to navigation apps when road hazards exist and creates a new advisory committee to advise on traffic safety.
