Bill overview
This bill creates a Special Counsel for the Prevention of Gun Violence within the Nevada Attorney General’s office. The Special Counsel will advise the Attorney General on gun violence prevention, collaborate with researchers, assist with educational campaigns, and collect data on gun law violations. The Counsel is also authorized to establish a grant program to fund community-based gun violence prevention initiatives. Finally, the Attorney General will submit biennial reports to the legislature on the progress of these efforts.
