Bill overview
This bill prohibits the importation and sale of household cleaning products in Nevada that were tested on animals after January 1, 2030. However, there are exceptions for animal testing required by law, when no alternative testing methods exist, for comprehensive safety assessments, or to comply with foreign regulations. The bill also excludes products where animal testing occurred before 2030, data from certain animal tests, and manufacturers unable to obtain verification that ingredients weren't tested on animals. Violations are considered deceptive trade practices.
