Bill overview
This bill establishes requirements to protect Nevadans from exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in various products. It mandates that food delivery services provide customers with the option to receive disposable foodware and condiments from food establishments, prohibits the use of disposable items in a way that prevents customer choice, and restricts the sale of carpets, rugs, food packaging, juvenile products, cosmetics, and upholstered furniture containing PFAS. It also requires cookware manufacturers to disclose the presence of PFAS and establishes a process for redevelopment agencies to mitigate heat island effects.
