Bill overview
Senate Bill 179 changes how the Nevada Equal Rights Commission investigates discrimination complaints. Specifically, when investigating potential discrimination in housing, employment, or public accommodations, the Commission must now consider whether the alleged discrimination was motivated by antisemitism. The bill also provides a definition of ‘antisemitism’ based on a working definition established by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.
