This bill allocates $50 million from the State General Fund to City of Hope to establish an outpatient cancer treatment clinic in Clark County, Nevada. City of Hope must partner with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine to provide clinical training. A newly created Oncology Excellence Committee will oversee the use of these funds to ensure they are used for authorized cancer treatment purposes and monitor City of Hope’s compliance with the affiliation agreement. The committee’s activities and the appropriation are set to expire on October 1, 2027.
