Bill overview
This bill changes the definition of ‘excavation’ in Nevada law. Currently, an excavation is defined as moving or removing material more than 12 inches below the surface. This bill expands that definition to include moving or removing material more than 18 inches below the surface. As a result, certain notification requirements related to subsurface installations no longer apply to excavations that are 18 inches or less deep.
