Bill overview
This bill revises provisions related to education in Nevada. It requires the Department of Education to post a ranked list of the top elementary, middle, and high schools based on performance ratings. The bill also creates two new accounts: the Charter School Facilities Account to provide funding for charter school facilities and the State Public Charter School Facility Fund to support charter school bonds and construction. Furthermore, it adjusts how tax revenue is allocated to support public schools and charter schools, including distributing funds based on pupil eligibility for free and reduced-price meals and reporting teacher performance evaluations.
