Bill overview
This bill expands the ability of certain individuals to request that their personal information be kept confidential. It primarily adds civilian employees who provide support services to law enforcement agencies and firefighters/retired firefighters to the list of those authorized to obtain court orders for confidentiality. Additionally, it allows these same individuals to request an alternate address be displayed on their driver’s license, commercial driver’s license, or identification card, mirroring existing provisions for other groups.
