Bill overview
This bill changes how the Sunset Subcommittee of the Legislative Commission is run and how certain licensing boards report to the state. It requires the Chair and Vice Chair of the Subcommittee to be appointed by the Legislative Commission’s Chair instead of being elected by the subcommittee members. Furthermore, it removes a requirement for professional licensing boards to submit quarterly reports detailing petitions for criminal history reviews of potential applicants. The bill also repeals the Sunset Subcommittee’s responsibility to review licensing boards’ restrictions on criminal history for license applicants.
