Bill overview
This bill makes changes to regulations governing education in Nevada. It requires certain public schools, particularly those in Clark County, to employ a school social worker to the extent funds are available. The bill also creates immunity for school districts and charter schools from civil liability for harassment or power-based violence if they have a comprehensive policy in place to prevent such incidents. Furthermore, it directs the Commission on Professional Standards in Education to update regulations for school counselors, school social workers, and school psychologists, allowing them to complete required internships while employed.
