Bill overview
This bill expands the right for public employees to collectively bargain. Currently, certain classified service employees can negotiate with the state for wages and working conditions. This legislation adds category I, II, and III peace officers in the unclassified service of the State to this group, allowing them to also engage in collective bargaining with the Executive Department.
