Bill overview
This bill will require emergency medical technicians (EMTs), advanced EMTs, and paramedics in Nevada to complete training focused on interacting with elderly individuals and those with cognitive impairments. The state’s health boards will have the authority to create regulations for this training, ensuring it’s developed in collaboration with nationally accredited programs specializing in geriatric and cognitive care. Importantly, this training will not change the standard of care expected of these first responders.
