Bill overview
This bill revises rules for transferable tax credits and tax abatements offered by the Nevada Office of Economic Development. It requires businesses seeking these incentives to agree to a workforce development plan that includes training programs provided by specific educational institutions and results in recognized occupational skills. The Office of Economic Development can investigate businesses to ensure compliance with these plans and can require repayment of credits or abatements if the business doesn't meet the requirements. These workforce development plan requirements apply to new applications starting July 1, 2025.
