Bill overview
This bill extends the timeframe for redevelopment plans in Nevada to a maximum of 50 years. Currently, these plans must terminate within 30 years of their adoption. However, this extension applies specifically to redevelopment plans adopted by cities with a population of 150,000 or more located in counties with a population between 100,000 and 700,000 – currently only the City of Reno. The bill also includes provisions for extending termination dates for redevelopment areas containing federal government-owned properties with mine remediation needs.
