Bill overview
This bill provides immunity from civil liability for the State of Nevada, Nevada System of Higher Education institutions, and their employees related to actions taken during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, it shields these entities from lawsuits arising from decisions made in response to the public health crisis, particularly concerning educational services provided during the spring semester of 2020, provided those actions were reasonably related to public health and safety and performed in good faith. The immunity applies retroactively from March 12, 2020, and expires on June 30, 2030.
