Bill overview
This bill extends a temporary increase in the amount of revenue from vehicle fees that can be used to cover the administrative costs of collecting those fees. Currently, 27% of these fees are allowed to cover administrative costs, and this bill extends that allowance until June 30, 2027. The State Highway Fund, which is used for highway construction, maintenance, and repair, will benefit from this extended flexibility. Essentially, the state will have more resources to manage the collection of vehicle fees.
