This bill transfers the authority for regulating and permitting food establishments, cottage food operations, and farm-to-fork events from the Division of Public and Behavioral Health to the State Department of Agriculture and local boards of health. It also moves the responsibility for regulating the sanitary protection of water and food supplies from the State Board of Health to the Department of Agriculture. The bill includes provisions to increase the limit for cottage food operations' gross sales, revise regulations for farm-to-fork events, and address the use of hemp in food establishments, as well as adjustments to county assessments for services provided.
