Bill overview
This bill makes several changes to Nevada’s financial administration. It expands the authority for state agencies to lease residential property owned by the state to state officers or employees at a reduced rate, provided a state agency determines it’s beneficial. The bill also creates a new ‘Out-of-State Fire Suppression Account’ in the State General Fund to cover costs associated with responding to wildfires and emergencies outside of Nevada, and establishes a process for requesting temporary advances from the State General Fund for fire suppression expenses. Finally, it modifies the Division of Forestry Account to better manage funds related to forest protection and special permit issuance.
