An act to amend section 37-19-7, mississippi code of 1972, to provide that effective with the 2026-2027 school year, any licensed teacher employed IN a public school district IN an area designated by the state board of education as a geographically critical teacher shortage area shall receive an annual salary supplement IN the amount of $2,000.00, to provide that teachers currently receiving an annual salary supplement for national board certification shall not be disqualified from receiving the new $2,000.00 annual salary supplement; And for related purposes.
