An act to amend section 25-53-5, mississippi code of 1972, to authorize the mississippi department of information technology services to establish certain procurement frameworks for the procurement of information technology, telecommunications, cybersecurity, cloud services and related hardware and software; To provide that certain procurements administered by the department to be awarded based on best value; To require the department to establish a manufacturer-based procurement framework for cybersecurity software, hardware and associated services; To require certain standards that manufactures must meet to participate IN the cybersecurity manufacturer-based procurement framework; To bring forward sections 25-53-25 and 31-7-13, mississippi code of 1972, for the purpose of possible amendment; And for related purposes.
