SB 1789 - Under current law, the court may sentence a person to an extended sentence if the person meets certain criteria. This act requires that the court sentence a person to an extended sentence if they meet certain criteria. This act is identical to HB 3536 (2026), and to a provision contained in the Truly Agreed To and Finally Passed SS#3 SB 888 (2026), and the Truly Agreed To and Finally Passed CCS/SS/SCS/HCS/HBs 2637 & 3155 (2026).
