Bill overview
This bill creates a new crime in South Dakota called ‘trespass upon a place of worship.’ It prohibits entering or remaining within 50 feet of a place of worship’s entrance during worship times with the intent to disrupt services, harass people, or intimidate them. Violations are classified as a Class 5 felony. An emergency declaration allows the law to take effect immediately.
