Bill overview
This bill requires that snow bears (enclosed, motorized, rubber-tracked vehicles) be titled and licensed in South Dakota. It amends existing vehicle titling and registration laws to include snow bears as a regulated vehicle type. The bill establishes a fee of $10 per year for a snow bear license and a three percent excise tax on the purchase price. Revenue generated from these fees will be split between the motor vehicle fund and the Department of Game, Fish and Parks fund.
