Bill overview
This bill directs the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a comprehensive study of 1-800-Medicare, the telephone service used by Americans to access Medicare information and assistance. The study will examine customer satisfaction, staffing levels, contractor performance, and any past recommendations made by the GAO regarding improvements to the service. The GAO will then submit a report to Congress with findings and recommendations for enhancing the 1-800-Medicare system.
