Bill overview
This bill changes the powers of the West Virginia Water Development Authority regarding how it uses its funds. Specifically, it removes the authority’s ability to fund infrastructure projects recommended by the Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Economic Development, or the Secretary of Tourism. Moving forward, the Authority can only use its funds for projects within West Virginia that meet specific eligibility criteria, and these funds will be managed through a new Economic Enhancement Grant Fund.
