Bill overview
This bill changes how insurance companies handle claims for car repairs in Nevada. If an insurer needs to inspect a vehicle for a claim, they must do so within 8 business days of receiving the claim and accepting liability. If they fail to inspect or provide an estimate within that time, they can’t demand further repairs beyond the cost of labor and parts. The bill also allows the state to fine insurers for not meeting these inspection deadlines.
