Bill overview
This bill makes several changes to dog racing regulations in West Virginia. It eliminates the requirement for dog racetracks to race a minimum number of dates to obtain a license or contract for telecasts and wagers. It also allows racetracks to continue operating simulcast racing even if they discontinue live racing. The bill removes the requirement that video lottery licensees at dog tracks must hold a racing license, and permits dog racetracks to continue offering operational video lottery and racetrack table games. Finally, it eliminates the requirement that racetrack table games licensees at dog racetracks must race a minimum number of dates.
