This bill would establish a system of ‘producer responsibility’ for electronic waste (e-waste) in Massachusetts. It would require manufacturers of electronics to take responsibility for the collection, reuse, and recycling of their products at the end of their useful life. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of discarded electronics and promote more sustainable practices within the industry. The bill ultimately failed to pass.
