Bill overview
This resolution, introduced by Massachusetts representatives, calls on the United States Congress to hold a Constitutional Convention as permitted by Article V of the U.S. Constitution. The goal of such a convention would be to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution. This is not the first time Massachusetts has considered such a measure, with similar resolutions having been proposed in previous legislative sessions. The resolution was referred to the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs and ultimately failed.
