Bill overview
This bill establishes a commission within the Massachusetts legislature to investigate the prevalence and impact of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among law enforcement officers. The commission will include members of the General Court and is intended to gather data and recommendations to better understand the challenges faced by officers and inform potential support and treatment strategies. The goal is to improve the well-being of law enforcement personnel and potentially enhance public safety. This is not the first attempt to create such a commission in Massachusetts.
