Bill overview
This bill proposed to allow Massachusetts courts to establish a system of juvenile restitution. Juvenile restitution would enable young offenders who cause harm to victims to repay those harms through payments or other forms of compensation. The goal was to provide a mechanism for victims of juvenile crimes to receive redress and potentially deter future offenses. Ultimately, the bill failed to pass.
